OK, done. See libs/regex/test/Jamfile.

While I was trying to get this to work, I found a core bjam bug which
ought, as far as I can tell, to have been scuttling countless gcc link
actions. I don't know why it was ever working, but anyway I've
checked in a fix. You may want to rebuild your bjam now.
