I don't know if it's of great benefit, but certainly some benefit. At
minimum I've wanted to have watch points, that is print some vars at some
point in the code, with an optional break/exit, without having to
"ECHO/EXIT".

So perhaps I would not go as far as doing an interactive debugger. But
instead a non-intrusive state inspection.

But I would really place another addition bjam ahead of such a job... We
really need a "output = SYSTEM ( command args * )" builtin.
