Because I needed the capability for a project I was working on, and
I'm almost completely lost when it comes to using v2, yet v1 works
almost perfectly for all my current needs and I can test with many
more compilers than I can with v2. Also I thought it was better to
supply Boost.Python users with a simple solution than to keep telling
them "wait for v2".
