I think you are worrying too much. From my POV, build system is in
pretty good shape, so putting everything aside and diving into
refactoring is a little bit of overkill.
In fact one of the reasons I never tried really hard to understand the
build system is that it is currently serves all my needs quite well.
Moreover the complexity seems to be inherent -- at least that was my
impression from discussions between yourself, Dave and Ali.
I do share Dave's concern though, that you are the only one
understanding ins and outs of the system.
You are doing great job, and we are very grateful.
Dave mentioned that he knows few people strongly motivated to
contribute. Maybe they should speak up and tell what problems they see?
