I think that mention of self.actual-source can confuse the reader. It also 
sounds like we're actualizing the scanner, not source ;-)
Maybe, we can use:

> # Helper for 'actualize-sources'.
> # For each passed source, actualizes it with the appropriate scanner.
> # Returns the actualized virtual targets.
