Neither. I did set:

LD_RUN_PATH=/usr/local/gcc-3.4.1/lib

in my .bash_profile and this solved the problem; however, I was hoping
there was some way it could be done in user_config.jam instead of
setting an environment variable. Sorry I didn't repeat this, but
in a previous reply, this was mentioned.
