there's as yet uncommitted patch from you which allows to specify the type of
linker (gnu or sun) for the gcc toolset. The questions was if the new
parameter to init conflicts with compiler options and linker options
I now think that it's desirable to collapse the parameters in one, so it's
possible to write:
using gcc : 3.4 : : <cxxflags>foo <linkflags>bar <linker-type>sun ;
Having 5 positional parameters would be an overkill.
If you have the time to update your patch so that it uses this syntax for
gcc.jam, I'll be happy to integrate it and adjust the other toolsets.
BTW, I think you can use the 'feature.get-values' rule instead of 'get-option'
that you've written.
