Well, I had tried running the windows version of boost and so on all
under wine.
Yes. It would make me happy if I knew how to change the name and
location of the compiler boost looks for, since I've had that issue
multiple times. (vctoolkit2003 installing in different place, and
mingw).
The vctoolkit problem wasn't merely the directory that it installed, but
the vcvars32.bat file was also in a different place relative to cl.exe
