I wonder if we can do anything about it. IIRC, moderating first time posters 
is the only thing Yahoo! gives in this respect. Is increased overhead worth 
the spam protection? I'm not yet sure?

Is writing to abuse_at_[hidden] enough? I've tried once to report the abuse via 
web interface, but was swamped in unclear details they were asking.
