Thank you. I've tried your testcase with m10 and got the same error as you 
got. But, I can't reproduce this with the current CVS version. I also could 
not locate the exact change which fixed the problem -- there were a lot of 
changes to project loading. 

This leaves you with two choices:
1. Use CVS version
2. Define the feature in a separate file and import that file from Jamfile.
