Maybe bjam doesn't handle macros %systemroot% as it should.

On WinXP in path there is: %SystemRoot%\system32, but bjam fails. however if
I put c:\windows\system32 it will work....

I had the same problem and solved by adding x:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 to PATH <BR>
environment variable.<BR>
Hope it works.<BR>
