Sure, but I just *had* to commit those changes, because they are made some
month ago, they were not under version control at all, and I was afraid that
further delay would made merging my changes with Pedro's change very hard.

Speaking of V1->V2, I'm about to:

1. Do something about installing headers (there's a recent post to that
effect)

2. Make sure test results for V1 and V2 are the same on Linux

After that, very little coding will remain.
