If you run "bjam --v2 debug", this main target will still be built, but in
release mode. The target requirements override build request given on the
command line. Is this what you asking about?
If you also add:
alias myDialogs : : <variant>debug ;
then there would be two alternatives for myDialogs -- the first one will build
static lib, but only if you've requested release build. The second ("alias")
will do absolutely nothing, and used in debug mode.
