how to run test_all.py using cygwin

Hi,
I've downloaded the latest nightly build and can't get the tests to run 
for cygwin gcc. Not sure if this is a recent problem or not.

In order to run these tests in cygwin do I need to use cygwin python so it 
detects the cygwin bin structure for bjam.exe?

Currently I am using python 2.3.4 compiled for win32 which reports the 
os.name as nt and has no clue as to cygwin.
