To, a single instance of something in angle brackets gets though. Two or three 
such tokens together don't work.

1. Trying &lt;vacpp&gt;&lt;vacpp&gt; : <vacpp><vacpp>
2. Trying &lt;vacpp&gt; &lt;vacpp&gt; : <vacpp> <vacpp>
