thanks for your response, that clears a few things up.

I was under the impression that by defining a project id in the jamroot
it could be used in sub-projects to reference other projects from the 
root instead of using relative paths (not that it matters in this 
particular case). looks like i was a bit confused:)

thanks for also explaining //<catgeory> versus /category//target
