I'm not sure I would consider fat as an architecture. I would think it's 
a different target type. After all it's created as a post process of 
building the x86 and power architecture binaries. Right?

Especially given that structurally speaking it's not limited to just 
those two on MacOSX. It would be theoretically possible to do an ARM 
version and include all three binaries in one application AFAIK, which 
isn't all that much though ;-)
