Perhaps we need to be more specific about what exceptions are? I'd
certainly to know as the maintainer of Boost.Jam ;-) In particular I was
planning to rewrite the symbol table, i.e. the hash table, to use my
rank tree implementation as a test bed for doing the same thing to
binutils-ld (which still has serious performance problems with C++ debug
symbols). But I won't bother if this is one of the parts that would be
superseded using Python, and just go straight to hacking on the
binutils-ld code instead.
