Thomas,
I'll be on vacation starting tomorrow, and going back online on Aug 20, so I
wanted to send you an update on V2 status.
Most regression testers are using V2 now, and metacomm is in process of
switching, which will be the final regression tester to switch.
There are some issues reported which are related specifically to V2:
- On Tru platform, Python tests fail to link to the 'rt' library
- The TR1 tests want specific order of includes, which V2 does not
yet provide
- Python tests might be broken with Intel
I'd expect to fix those issue in a couple of days, but only after I'm back.
We also had some issues with Como-win toolset, but it's not clear to which
degree that issues are V2-specific. The toolset can't create dynamic
libraries, so testing is quite tricky anyway.
I haven't had any more issues reported that seem V2-specific, and looking at
"outstanding issues" page, roughly a half of them appear to show up in V1
toolsets. In any case, if any of outstanding issue will happen to be V2
issues, I'll take a final stub at fixing them when I'm back.
I'll be reading email while I'm away, so feel free to send any question/issues
my way.
- Volodya
