For my tests (with Intel 9.1 on VC 7.1), I use <compatibility>vc71 and 
*NO* option is passed at all!
This is my cmd line (without rsp and obj file):

icl /Zm800 -nologo -TP  /Z7 /Od /Ob0 /W3 /GR /MDd /Qwn5 /Qwd985 
-Qoption,c,--arg_dep_lookup /Zc:forScope /Qansi_alias /Zc:wchar_t 
-D_NATIVE_WCHAR_T_DEFINED /EHs
