Addressed thusly (HEAD and branch). I'm working on "cancel parent's 
requirements" functionality.

        * tools/stage.jam (rename): Generate 'vc6' and 'vc7' suffixes
        instead of 'vc60' and 'vc70', to match V1 behaviour.
