If you open up http://www.boost.org/tools/build/v2/doc/userman.pdf with
Adobe Reader and search for project-root, there are seven references.
For example, under "Frequently Asked Questions" there is "How to get the
project-root location"; the rest are under the Extender Manual. I also
have what may be an older version of the manual (90 pages, includes
chapters "Overview" and "Common tasks" that are not in the manual I now
find on boost.org), and it has additional references to project-root.
