By the way, I found related information in the IBM infocenter, for "Large
Program Support".

I forgot in my previous post, but I also get this crash using gcc on aiz, so
I doubt that this is a compiler problem at all. Also, as I mentioned, I can
compile, I just can't use the "install" option.
