Thank you. I made a few changes to the vsvars32.bat file--enough to get 
bjam.exe to compile! Rather than waste a lot of time trying to figure out 
how the batch file got that way or why it wasn't correct, I'm moving to 
Visual Studio 2008 tomorrow.
