Seems to recognise the test-config.jam file, but I am still getting  
failures, as attached.

This is using trunk.  I rebuilt bjam for good measure.

gcc reports:
   i686-apple-darwin9-gcc-4.0.1 (GCC) 4.0.1 (Apple Inc. build 5465)
