[Boost-build] compiling boost on windows XP using gcc - missing dllcrt2.o

I don't imagine any of you guys know what the file dllcrt2.o
is, or how you can get it?  I'm trying to compile the boost thread
library on windows XP using gcc, and I get an error saying that this
file can't be found.
