   I do not think that is such an important choice in your case and my 
suggestion would be to take the first compiler you get working. Since 
your code needs to be portable and you are planning to use Boost Build 
it should be very little work switching compilers mid-stream anyway and 
compiling using a different compiler provides for a great smoke-test.
