Heh, unfortunately I do not know of any official and realistic
planned release date or scope.
Traditionally Boost Build has been rather slowly developed and its
official releases are too far apart. On the up-side, its development is
quite stable, and even when something does break it tends to be fixed
within a day or so. Well... recently it seems I was the one doing most
of the breaking :-).
In our company we use the trunk version and simply archive any
important revisions on our own and track them by their revision number
in the Boost Subversion repository. Then our projects simply specify
which of those 'quasi-releases' they depend on. Note though that we have
not yet encountered a case where the current trunk version broke
something in any of those projects. I personally always use the trunk
version directly, unless debugging some Boost Build behavior itself.
Hope this helps.
