Your first suggestion about the backslashes is correct. That didn't fix that
particular problem I was having, but it did fix another.

You're right, I mis-interpreted the intent of this group as "people having
trouble building boost". I've re-posted to Boost-Users.

Were I able to find a solution through Googling, I would not have bothered
posting to this group.
