I believe that Boost is already available for RedHat. In that case, the best
approach is to get source RPMS from them, maybe replace the sources,
and build binary RPMS.

While creating necessary setup for RPM is not very hard, it's
somewhat annoying, so I would not recommend doing that for
somebody without experience with linux.
