Subject: [Boost-build] Boost.jam and system layout

Another week, another question about the change in the naming of the
generated Boost libraries. This one's a bit higher level though.

I was looking at the boost.jam file in contrib in the repository, and I
don't think it's been updated for the new layout. There are two layouts
system and versioned. versioned uses the version number, and toolset
name, but system does not. system does put in a "-d" for debugged.
("-gd" on Windows).

Isn't this now dropped? Shouldn't it instead be part of a new
<layout>tagged property? (The default Boost layout is termed "system"
correct?)

I'm not too familiar with the common.format-name command. And I don't
have time right now to try making a patch, and I definitely don't know
enough to make it backwards-compatible. But is my thinking correct?
