At the moment I make little usage of wchar but that will likely change in the 
future. So I'm very interested in your experiences.

Until now I never heard of any mingw/wchar issues. The only difference I know 
of is wchar having only 16bit on windows/mingw instead of 32bit on linux.

What problems did you run into?
