Sorry I should have provided the exact error message.
That was something like "invalid toolset selected" when invoking bjam 
(yes of course I had invoked bootstrap with the intel option set).
I say "that was" because I am unable to reproduce it and apparently now 
everything works fine. So many apologize, looks like I had messed 
somewhere something up.
