Subject: [Boost-build] More Boost with Eclipse

Howdy,
You might recall my earlier email about building the boost libary with
Eclipse's downloaded (sorta-integrated) MinGW. After I couldn't get it
to compile, I decided to download MinGW and give boost what it was
looking for.

Boost and bjam built successfully and all is well. Sorta.

It turns out that there are some problems with Eclipse (or better said,
gdb) and the loading of environment variables to tell the executable
where the linked-to .dlls are. Grrr.

Visual Studio, by comparison, is working flawlessly. (More grrr.)
Hopefully the Eclipse/gdb teams will get this solved, so that Eclipse
can be as seamless as VS is right now.

However, now that Eclipse has an integrated C/C++ environment, it
strikes me that the default paths for the MinGW environment in the
Eclipse environment would be something that the Boost Build team would
want to include in future releases.

Thanks for your time.
