Hello,
I was able to make boost-build with mingw.
However I am unable to make any libraries (asio) with it.
I downloaded from: http://sourceforge.net/projects/asio/files/asio/1.4.8%20%28Stable%29/
boost_asio_1_4_8.zip
and
asio-1.4.8.zip
I cannot seem to make the boost version.
And the asio version asks me for the location of my boost directory
I type ./configure --with-boost=c:/boost-build
But it still can't find my boost directory.
I've used asio in the past and I have some nice source code, but my computer crashed, and I cannot advance my source code as I can't get it to compile again.
,Jim

Have you tried the windows platform sdk? You don't need visual studio to get the windows toolset.
