Hello, >Download Boost from http://www.boost.org/users/download/ I downloaded this: boost_1_49_0 I typed bootstrap gcc Then I typed b2 I got several error messages: 'cl' is not recognized as an internal or external command, I guess it is safe to say Mingw is simply not supported anymore? Looks like I need to get windows platform sdk?  As I was told by someone in a different email. ,Jim ________________________________ From: Steven Watanabe <watanabesj_at_[hidden]> To: boost-build_at_[hidden] Sent: Monday, March 19, 2012 6:45 PM Subject: Re: [Boost-build] 2 Problems with bootstrap.bat AMDG On 03/19/2012 03:02 PM, Jim Sager wrote: > I was able to make boost-build with mingw. > However I am unable to make any libraries (asio) with it. > > I downloaded from: http://sourceforge.net/projects/asio/files/asio/1.4.8%20%28Stable%29/ > > boost_asio_1_4_8.zip > and > asio-1.4.8.zip > > I cannot seem to make the boost version. The boost version is not standalone. It's intended to be copied over older Boost distributions.  The current release of Boost includes Boost.Asio. > And the asio version asks me for the location of my boost directory > I type ./configure --with-boost=c:/boost-build > But it still can't find my boost directory. > Because this is Boost.Build, not Boost. > > I've used asio in the past and I have some nice source code, but my computer crashed, and I cannot advance my source code as I can't get it to compile again. > Download Boost from http://www.boost.org/users/download/ In Christ, Steven Watanabe _______________________________________________ Unsubscribe & other changes: http://lists.boost.org/mailman/listinfo.cgi/boost-build
