We have been getting this issue as well on both AIX and Linux on PPC.
jambase.c:74: in module scope
*** argument error
* rule Segmentation fault (core dumped)

I was getting a lot of errors like this
while I was debugging my last set of changes.
I'd guess that arg_list_compile in function.c
is misbehaving, somehow.
