The more I dig into boost build (or boost for that matter), the more I
feel like I will be a novice forever. I could probably round up some
snippets of features we use, most of which have been found by brute
force or grep-ing the jam files.

I did make a jamroot that pretends to be the boost sources and
references the system installed libraries, auto detecting the -mt
suffix. It isn't "complete", but works for us. I should see about
throwing that on github, maybe someone could improve upon it.
