I think the biggest issue is the overhead to getting to a point where
you can write documentation, especially with committing to Boost. So
then, you want to write a lot of documentation but knowledge is so
fragmented.
I think the best thing would honestly be a Wiki for API reference.
Something like what Garry's Mod or others do. It would still take a lot
to make it "look good", but that could happen in time, what is really
needed now is just getting
the information in a readable/searchable form.
