I tried it with our full build and it appears to not run into the issue any longer as the build completes successfully:
...patience...
...patience...
...patience...
...patience...
...patience...
...found 123072 targets...
...updating 5370 targets...
<snip>
...updated 5501 targets...
The problem is that it is not building all the final targets especially 2/3 of the final dlls and the final exe. If I rerun the command it seems to be aborting the update of the 123 missing targets (with or without -j option):
...patience...

...updating 123 targets...
So I think that something is not quite right. Do you need additional diagnostics?
Chris
