Here's another idea you might want to try as an experiment

The idea is that documentation is annotated by people who have found and
documentated "special cases" and left notes about them in the documentation.

The best part is that you only have to add some javascript to your
pages. If it turns out to be a failure, you can easily back out and
you're no worse off than you were before.
