Too many reasons. Look again at how you brought NSIS and .deb into the
discussion and then mentioned binary packages several more times.

I think you're just missing some base understanding. I can't tell if you
read the documentation I pointed you too.

Thanks for your interest, but I'm not trying to explain cmake config files
in this thread. I'd point you to the documentation or again recommend
looking into existing files if you want that understanding. I didn't
understand your question about CUDA and NVidia, but I suspect that if you
look into existing files you won't have that question anymore.

I think this thread is not going to result in Boost shipping cmake files,
even if you do understand them. I'd prefer to not discuss it until someone
comes along who 1) knows what cmake config files are 2) wants boost to ship
them 3) wants to do work on that.

Then we can work on the 'what will they contain' and the 'how will we make
them', instead of the 'why' and the 'what is this?'.

I realize that may never happen, but I don't think anyone is going to
understand just by reading an email. Learning something requires trying it.
