Oh and just to keep me on my toes, I've discovered that
a) It builds a bjam executable and leaves it in the boost root
b) it changes the project-config so that If switch back to my other
build that won't work. And no mention of that fact anywhere. This is
unbelievable.
There has been a discussion related on the next version of b2 which I
haven't participated in since lately my life has been consumed by issues
akin to this one. There might be some solace in knowing that Boost is
not the only offender - just one of many participants. But I can't help
be struck by the fact that the discussion revolves around what language
it's going to be programmed in and stuff like that. No mention has
been made about what the damn thing is supposed to do, and why so many
of us have problems with the current version. Spending any effort in
trying to reprogram it is going to be totally wasted unless these
fundamental issues are addressed.
