Yeah, that's the way Trac's maintainer system works. We could,
alternatively, route them to you :)

Anyone is free to work on these bugs, of course. I've added a TODO
list item pointing out that this is also an important task.

I completely agree. For the upcoming 1.36.0, I suggest that we have
the additional goal of producing binary installers for Windows (Visual
Studios 2003, 2005, and 2008) and Mac (Leopard) using CMake.
