Mike,
I use:
find_package( Boost REQUIRED COMPONENTS ${boost_comps} NO_MODULE )
(note the "NO_MODULE")
for the CMake-built boost. This uses the BoostConfig.cmake file installed by the CMake boost. It seems to work very well.
This allows you to bypass the "FindBoost.cmake" entirely.
