getting started with boost

I had been looking in boost libraries for a month now, trying to figure out
it's working. And was quite interested in working towards it. I've seen a
few introductory videos and community standards to write acceptable code. I
have an intermediate understanding of c++11, containers and figuring out
boost Gil library.
I'm aware of and comfortable with GitHub control.  I've followed boost's
GitHub "how to contribute" link,
I plan to participate in GSoC 2020 and contribute to the repository. So
just wanted a bit of guidance on how to get started.  It'll be really
helpful. Thanks a lot.
