After extensive discussion on Boost ML and Slack (#boost and
#boost-gil), I'm inclined to refine the approach and take smaller step
following Peter Dimov's suggestion [1]:
1. In Boost 1.75 we will announce that Boost.GIL will soon
drop GCC 5 support and require C++14
2. In the next release(s) we will include Samuel's fixes (e.g. [2])
and start requiring C++14.
If you have any concerns or objections, please speak up soon!
