We're currently having to deal with those and a stduent of mine came up 
with a prototype of future like interface for MPI one sided communications.

Is there interest into digging this a bit more ? OSC are usually very 
touchy to get right but i think hiding this behind future and promise or 
packaged_task is actually the correct way to do it.

Any thoughts ?
