[Boost-mpi] Which bootstrap to use?

I am having difficulty installing boost-mpi. So I have tried installing older versions with different compilers. My confusion is that some installation instructions say to use:

boost_root/tools/build/bootstrap.sh

Others say to use just:

boost_root/bootstrap.sh

Is there a difference between them? If so, which should I use.
