for the BZIP2_SOURCE and ZLIB_SOURCE? yes; for their value? no

44              io::stream_facade<vector_source>    first(seq);

line 44 has a \r\r\n line termination.  I'll fix it after this regression 
run.  It seems odd, since it appears to be right in the middle of a large 
block which was inserted into the code.
